Purchase Policy:  Terms and Conditions for Travel and Tour Bookings.  By purchasing our travel programs, you agree to the following terms.

Welcome to the Dawn Travel website (the "Website"). We offer this Website to help customers create customized journeys and deliver personalized experiences. "We", "us", "our", and “Dawn Travel" refer to Dawn Travel LLC., a New Mexico limited company. "You", “customer”, or “the traveler” refers to anyone visiting or using the Website and booking a reservation through our customer service.

 

Booking and Payment

Deposits

A deposit of 30% is required at the time of booking. Payment can be made via credit card, certified check, wire transfer, or money order. The balance is due 90 days prior to departure. If booking within 90 days of departure, full payment is required at the time of confirmation.

 

Cancellation

 

Cancellations of confirmed reservations are subject to a $350 per person administrative fee and any fees from service providers (e.g. hotels, airlines, rail). Cancellations made 90 days or more prior to departure receive a full refund minus the administrative fee. Cancellations made 60-89 days before departure result in loss of deposit (30% of trip cost). Cancellations made 30-59 days before departure result in loss of 50% of program cost. Cancellations made 29 days or less before departure result in 100% loss of program cost.

 

Insurance

​We strongly recommend purchasing trip cancellation and baggage insurance. This insurance may be the only source of reimbursement in the event of cancellation due to illness or accident. Dawn Travel is only authorized to sell travel insurance to US passport holders with a US residential address. By purchasing insurance from us, clients acknowledge being a US passport holder with a US residential address. 

 

Passports and Visas

Valid passports are required for most destinations. Check visa requirements with the appropriate consulate or embassy.

 

Baggage

Weight restrictions may apply on internal flights. Baggage is at the owner's risk throughout the trip. Check airline restrictions for internal and international flights.

 

Changes

Prices are subject to current exchange rates, tariffs, and taxes. Dawn Travel reserves the right to increase prices to cover increased costs, tariffs, taxes, or exchange rate fluctuations. We also reserve the right to alter or withdraw tours or itineraries, or pass on any expenditures or losses due to delays or circumstances beyond our control. Itineraries may change at any time due to unforeseen circumstances.

 

Promotional Photography

Dawn Travel reserves the right to take photos during tours and use them for promotional purposes. By booking a reservation with us, customers agree to allow their image to be used. Customers who do not want their image used should inform their tour escort.  We'd love to get your travel photos as well to use on our website and blog, and you would agree to unlimited use for marketing and content use.

 

Claims and Refunds

Refunds are not given for missed services, except for verifiable extenuating circumstances. For claims to be considered, they must be received in writing within 30 days of the end of the program and include supporting documentation. Claims not addressed in these terms and conditions will be based on actual service cost and not on a per diem basis. Adjustments will not be made for unused sightseeing or meals. Claims for missed days during travel must be made in writing within 30 days of the end of the program. Dawn Travel will not be liable for any claims received after 30 days of the end of the program.

 

Air Transportation 

​Dawn Travel will not be held responsible for any errors or mistakes in airfare bookings made by third-party agents. The traveler must check the confirmed web page for tour details and make sure their flight information (arrival and departure) is correct. The agent will arrange the best-priced airfare within the requested class category at the time of booking. There may be a service fee for certain airfares. If the air reservation is canceled or changed before or after departure, penalties may apply. Airlines are not liable for any events or actions while passengers are not on board their planes. These programs may use the services of any IATA carrier, which are subject to international air conventions limiting their liability. The terms and conditions, including liability limitations, are on the reverse side of the airline ticket and form part of the travel package contract.

 

Limits on Responsibility 

​Dawn Travel and its employees, agents, and assigns are not liable for any act or omission of any independent supplier of goods or services for the trip (such as transportation, hotel, restaurant, etc.). These suppliers are considered independent contractors. Dawn Travel acts as an agent for the client for all tour arrangements and will exercise reasonable care for the traveler's safety and satisfaction, but cannot be held responsible for any injury, death, damage, loss, or other issue arising from the services of any conveyance or third-party actions. Dawn Travel is not responsible for damages, cancellations, delays, or other issues caused by factors beyond their control (such as weather, terrorism, travel warnings, strikes, acts of God, etc.). The traveler is responsible for all losses and tour rates are only for the stated time. Dawn Travel is not responsible for incorrect or expired traveler documents or related cancellation costs. In case of mandatory cancellation or rescheduling, the traveler may accept a rescheduled tour or receive a refund, but Dawn Travel is not obligated or liable beyond that. Dawn Travel reserves the right to alter the itinerary, substitute hotels or activities, or cancel the tour before departure. If not due to causes beyond their control, the traveler is entitled to a full refund if they so desire, less any non-refundable expenses.

 

Dawn Travel is not responsible for any injury, loss, damage, delay, or inconvenience arising from the provision of goods or services, including but not limited to acts of God or force majeure, war, unrest, strikes, criminal or terrorist activities, food poisoning, mechanical failure of transportation, etc. Adventure travel involves inherent risks (such as hiking, altitude sickness, etc.) and the traveler assumes all such risks. The traveler is responsible for becoming informed about current travel advisories and warnings from the U.S. State Department's travel website or phone line. If the traveler chooses to travel despite a travel warning, they assume all risk of personal injury, death, or property damage.

 

Covid

​Due to the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), governments and travel suppliers, including airlines, hotels, restaurants, guides, and tourist attractions, have implemented health, safety, hygiene, security, and other measures to be followed before, during, and after your trip (referred to as the "Covid Measures"). Because of COVID-19 and/or the Covid Measures, you and other travelers may face extended wait-times and other travel delays, changes to your trip length or itinerary, unexpected costs, and other impacts. These risks and costs are not exhaustive and can change daily and vary by country.

​You and your traveling companions who have booked a trip through Dawn Travel agree to comply with all Covid Measures at your own cost and risk, and accept responsibility for any associated expenses. You also agree to release Dawn Travel from any liability related to COVID-19 or similar viruses.

 

Arbitration

​Any disputes related to these Terms and Conditions, the brochure, or the trip itself must be resolved through binding arbitration in or near the Seattle metropolitan area in Washington State, USA, where Dawn Travel has it's headquarters.

 

Health

​The traveler represents that they and their traveling companions do not have any physical conditions that could pose a hazard to themselves or others. Dawn Travel reserves the right to decline or remove anyone from the trip if their condition could impact the safety or enjoyment of other passengers.
