About Dawn Travel

Cliff started his career in tourism in 1991 during college working at a resort hotel and then working as a tour guide to Canada for Princess Cruises & Tours. Cliff then became the product manager for all Canadian tours. Cliff worked for over a decade in technology, launching products and creating partnerships for top travel and technology companies. Cliff was a director at Microsoft and he managed the Microsoft strategic partnership with travel giant Expedia. Cliff also led teams that developed products for Dell and aQuantive (purchased by Microsoft). Cliff founded, grew, and eventually sold a leading luxury tour website that matched travelers with the best tour operators based on their needs.

Cliff has a BA in Business Administration from the University of Washington and an MBA in marketing from Arizona State University.

Cliff has traveled to 56 countries and has lived in Canada and Italy. He has a particular love of Europe because you can see so many incredible countries so close together, but they are all so incredibly different.

Mary Beth worked in the luxury hotel industry for years early in her career. Mary Beth subsequently worked in market research for many top automotive brands. She also worked for a major online business directory that sold to a private equity firm. Mary Beth was recruited by Microsoft and worked for a decade in digital media, digital advertising, and new product development.

Mary Beth has a BA in Business Administration from Miami University in Ohio, and an MBA in marketing from Xavier University.

Mary Beth has traveled to 45 countries and lived in Australia. She has traveled extensively in Europe and particularly enjoys the Mediterranean countries because of their amazing food and relaxed way of life.

Sofia is based in Rome and is our director for European operations. Sofia has worked in the hotel industry and as a tour guide in Italy for over a decade. She is a certified travel agent, speaks five languages, and has traveled to over 40 countries including most of Europe. She has deep relationships with hotels and travel suppliers throughout Europe.

Sofia has a degree in history from Università degli Studi di Roma and also studied in the UK.

Sofia loves to show our customers Europe and especially her home country of Italy.
