A private vehicle with an English-speaking chauffeur-guide will transport you between the airport and The Wallawwa in Kotugoda. The travel time is approximately 30 minutes.

Day 2

KOTUGODA TO DICK OYA

Embark on a private vehicle transfer with an English-speaking chauffeur-guide from The Wallawwa in Kotugoda to the beautiful highlands of Dick Oya, where Ceylon Tea Trails is located. Witness the transition from coastal views to the breathtaking landscapes of Sri Lanka's highlands. While the hill country is renowned for its tea plantations, there is also a leopard population inhabiting the forested areas between Dunkeld and Norwood Bungalows. Day 4

DICK OYA

Experience breathtaking scenery while building up an appetite. Accompanied by a guide, traverse the tea plantations, forests, and charming villages that set these trails apart. Indulge in a delectable BBQ picnic lunch infused with the flavors of Ceylon Tea Trails' Relais & Chateaux kitchen. These trails offer a delightful opportunity to immerse oneself in stunning landscapes, vibrant flora, diverse birdlife, and the serene rhythm of life in a tea garden.

Later on, take advantage of some free time to discover at your own leisure or unwind at your accommodation.

Day 5

DICK OYA

Horton Plains National Park is a diverse area, with both montane grassland and cloud forest, and is home to numerous unique species of plants and animals. While leopards can be found in the park, they are not often seen during the day. However, the park offers a captivating landscape and a variety of birds, primates, and smaller animals, making it a destination worth visiting. The views from the "World's End" cliff on a clear day are breathtaking.

In the afternoon, you can choose to explore the park at your own pace or simply relax at your hotel.

Day 6

DICK OYA

You have the option to enjoy your day at Ceylon Tea Trails by taking part in their various experiences and activities or by simply relaxing. While your butler takes care of you, you can observe the tea estate's daily operations. Additionally, you can play croquet, explore the tea fields and factory, visit a Leopard Research Station, play tennis, or just relax by the pool.

Day 7

DICK OYA TO TANGALLE

Experience a private vehicle transfer guided by an English-speaking chauffeur as you leave Ceylon Tea Trails for the secluded beaches of Tangalle. The journey from tea country to the coast showcases the stunning transformation of the landscape from rolling hills to lush jungle. The travel time is approximately 6 hours.

A scenic jungle path near the fishing village of Tangalle leads to Amanwella, a tranquil retreat inspired by Architect Geoffrey Bawa's Tropical Modernism. This serene sanctuary is elevated above a bay with a long stretch of beach, offering a blissful seclusion for guests.

Day 8

TANGALLE

Experience the daily life of local communities in the nearby Palathuduwa village through a guided bike ride and picnic breakfast. This village is surrounded by paddy fields and offers a rich cultural experience. Explore the surrounding nature on mountain bikes, passing through 12km of lush foliage and exotic wildlife. Along the way, enjoy a delicious picnic breakfast and visit a Buddhist temple.

Day 9

TANGALLE

Experience a wildlife safari at Udawalawe National Park, including a picnic breakfast. The park spans 119 mi² and consists of grassland, scrub jungle, and riverine forest. Only a 1.5-hour car ride from Amanwella, it is home to numerous wild elephants, mugger crocodiles, and over 180 bird species. With luxurious vehicles and knowledgeable guides, you are guaranteed a top-notch safari adventure.

Day 10
