Day 1

FLORENCE

Upon arrival at the airport, you will be greeted by your own English-speaking assistant outside of customs. They will be holding a sign with your name on it and will guide you to your private transfer. Accompanying you, they will ensure a smooth check-in process at your hotel. Additionally, on your first day in the destination, you will receive a welcome package containing a city map, train tickets (if applicable), and any other helpful touristic information.

Day 2

FLORENCE

Embark on a half-day walking tour in Florence, a renowned Tuscan city, to experience the Renaissance period. Start the tour by leaving your hotel and walking through the UNESCO World Heritage-listed old city center. Arrive at Cathedral Square and marvel at the Florence Cathedral, Giotto's Bell Tower, and the Romanesque Baptistery. In Signoria Square, admire the Palazzo Vecchio, Neptune Fountain, and the recreated statue of Michelangelo's David. Visit the elegant Ponte Vecchio, also known as the "jewel bridge." Finally, accompany your guide to the Accademia Gallery to see Michelangelo's David, a masterpiece completed in 1504 that attracts art lovers worldwide.

Day 3

FLORENCE

In Tuscany, meet your private driver and head west of Florence to visit the medieval city of Lucca. The city is well preserved and located on the banks of the River Serchio. Once in Lucca, a private local guide will show you around for 2 hours, highlighting the Renaissance Walls, which are considered the most significant monument in the city. These walls form a 2.5-mile circle with ramparts and have been transformed into a car-free public walkway. The Lucca Cathedral facade and its bell tower, surrounded by beautiful buildings from different periods, can be admired in the main square. The church, founded in the 6th century, is said to house the Volto Santo, an image of Christ carved by a witness of the crucifixion. The elliptical Amphitheater Square, built on the foundations of an ancient Roman amphitheater, is another highlight. It is surrounded by majestic buildings, such as the Baptistery of Saints Giovanni and Reparata, the former seat of the Bishop from the 5th century. You will have approximately an hour of free time to explore cafes or ice cream parlors before returning to Florence.

FLORENCE TO MONTEPULCIANO

You will be greeted by your personal driver and vehicle for a two-hour transfer to Montepulciano.

MONTEPULCIANO

Embark on a gourmet tour of Tuscany with a private guide and driver. Begin by visiting a family producer of Pecorino cheese, where you can sample 6 types of cheese and enjoy a glass of Rosso Di Montepulciano. Next, head to a local farmhouse in Val di Chiana, known for its Chianina cattle and Cinta Senese pigs. Indulge in a 3-course meal featuring farm-made products and take a tour of the farmhouse. Learn about the family's connection with their animals and visit the facility for meat processing and salami production. Continue your tour at an organic winery with a low ecological footprint. Discover their special wines made without sulfites during a small group tour of the vineyard. Conclude the day with a wine tasting of 5 different wines. On your way back to the hotel, make a stop for a refreshing ice cream, savoring the sweet flavors of the region.

MONTEPULCIANO

Start your walking tour of historic Montepulciano with a private guide. Discover the ancient wine traditions of the town as you explore underground wine cellars carved by the Etruscans. Explore tunnels, chapels, and learn about the cellar owners from the medieval period to the present. Begin your journey in a wine shop, descending 40 feet into the first cellar. This cellar connects to the main gallery, featuring 9,700 sq.ft. of storage vaults and tunnels from the 16th century. Learn about the winery's history, production process, and visit the private family collection. Don't miss the cave with an Etruscan tomb before enjoying a wine tasting. Finally, visit a second cellar for another delightful wine tasting to complete your tour.

MONTEPULCIANO TO SIENA

Your private driver and vehicle will take you to Siena in approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Start your 2-hour walking tour of medieval Siena with a private guide from your hotel. Siena is a city beautifully situated on three hills. Discover the stunning sights, such as the Piazza del Campo, one of Europe's most impressive medieval squares. The square is dominated by the City Hall, known as Palazzo Pubblico, and the Torre del Mangia, a 330-foot bell tower from the 14th century. Other notable monuments in the square are the Palazzo Sansedoni, a 13th-century palace formed by five interconnected private homes, and the Gaia Fountain. Admire the Gothic architecture of the Duomo of Siena and the Battistero, both adorned with painted frescoes and sculptures by renowned Italian artists. After the guided tour, you'll have free time to explore before returning to your accommodation on your own.

Day 8

SIENA

Your private driver will pick you up at your hotel and take you to the Castello di Volpaia, a 12th century hillside castle. Unlike other castles in the Chianti area, Volpaia is a walled village. Although only some of the protective walls and two of its six towers remain, the medieval layout and buildings are still intact, making Volpaia one of the best-preserved villages of its time. In the oldest part of the village, you'll join a private chef in a modern kitchen to learn the secrets of preparing an Italian meal. Combining century-old traditions with modern innovations, you'll have the opportunity to create a perfect lunch. Afterward, you'll sit down to enjoy your meal with a selection of Castello di Volpaia wines. Once you say goodbye to the chef, you'll drive to the charming village of Radda in Chianti. Here, you'll have some free time to explore before returning to Siena.

Day 9

SIENA

Embark on a countryside excursion to Assisi, which is about an hour and a half southeast from Siena. Upon arrival at a local stone farmhouse and olive oil producer, you'll meet a local expert and take a educational walk through the olive grove to learn about the process of making olive oil. Gain insight into the farmers' dedication to the environment and enjoy a private tasting with an olive oil expert. Learn how to identify high quality extra virgin olive oil while enjoying a delightful lunch. Finally, return to Siena with a private driver.

SIENA TO FLORENCE

Your private driver and vehicle will meet you for a transfer to Florence Airport, with a travel time of approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.
