Experience a condensed version of Bhutan's national sport, archery. Normally a day-long event, this demonstration will showcase the skill of local archers using bamboo bows and arrows. You are welcome to join the teams. Spectators will be amazed by the dexterity of the Bhutanese archers and the agility of team members who dodge the flying arrows. The game involves two teams of 11 archers, competing to be the first to reach 33 points. The targets, placed 120 meters apart, require precision and accuracy. The scoring system is a bit complex, but the best archers can be recognized by the colorful scarves tied to their belts. Whenever an arrow hits the bulls-eye, the team performs a short victory dance.
