Your guide will meet you outside customs with a sign bearing your name. They will help you find your private driver and take you to your hotel. This transfer includes an English-speaking guide.

Day 2

BEIJING

Experience a day exploring three famous sites in Beijing with a private guide and driver. Start at Tiananmen Square, a historic square with significant landmarks. Cross the street to enter the Forbidden City, a massive palace complex with preserved ancient structures. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Then, visit the Temple of Heaven, a peaceful UNESCO World Heritage Site surrounded by gardens. Take in the magnificent buildings and observe locals practicing Tai Chi. It is important to wear comfortable shoes and protect yourself from the sun during the tour.

Day 3

BEIJING

The Great Wall of China is a famous architectural wonder that has captivated travelers for generations. A private guide and driver will meet you at your hotel for a full day of exploration. You will head northeast of Beijing to the Mutianyu section, which is located 45 miles away. This section is well-preserved and stretches for 1.4 miles along the cragged mountains. It has a significant place in Chinese military history, with construction dating back to the 6th century and restoration in the Ming Dynasty.

The Mutianyu section of the Great Wall is known for its lush ecosystem, thanks to the abundance of natural springs in the area. The rolling forested hills provide a stunning backdrop for panoramic photos, no matter the time of year. Take a cable car to the top of the hillside and explore the 26-foot-high granite walls. The watchtowers, spanning along the mountain ridge, offer an impressive view and served as a military barrier against invaders from the north. Lunch will be provided at a local restaurant near the Great Wall.

Please note that today's tour involves a fair amount of walking at a leisurely pace. It is recommended to wear comfortable walking shoes and protect yourself from the sun.

Day 4

BEIJING TO XI'AN

Experience a private transfer with an English-speaking guide from the airport to your hotel. Fly directly from Beijing to Xi'an in approximately 2 hours.

Upon arrival, meet your driver and enjoy an airport transfer in a private vehicle accompanied by an English-speaking guide.

Discover the 13th-century city wall, which was built on the original Tang Forbidden City's foundations. Spanning a total of 8.6 miles, this well-preserved structure offers breathtaking views of the city on both sides.

Day 5

XI'AN

Experience a private guided tour of the Terracotta Army, Banpo Museum, and the Buddhist Wild Goose Pagoda, complete with a deluxe lunch. Witness the magnificent Terracotta warriors and horses, a monumental archaeological find consisting of over 7,000 life-size figures strategically placed to protect Emperor Qin Shi Huang's Mausoleum. Additionally, explore the Neolithic Banpo Village, where you can view an impressive collection of 10,000 production tools and remnants of 45 houses.

Day 6

XI'AN TO LHASA

Upon arrival, you will be greeted by your driver and English speaking guide for your airport transfer. They will be waiting for you with a private vehicle.

Afterwards, you will board a direct flight from Xi'an to Lhasa. The flight duration is approximately 3 hours.

Upon landing in Lhasa, your driver and guide will be there to meet you again for another airport transfer. They will transport you to your hotel.

It is recommended to take the rest of the afternoon to allow your body to adjust to the high altitude. Minimizing physical activity during this time can help prevent altitude sickness. Rest at your hotel and take it easy.

Day 7

LHASA

Tour both Drepung Monastery and Sera Monastery on a private guided day trip. Drepung is the main Gelugpa sect monastery in Tibetan Buddhism. Its white exterior resembles a pile of rice, hence the name 'Drepung'. Sera Monastery, built in 1419 during the Ming Dynasty, sits at the base of Tatipu Hill and was named after the wild roses that covered the hill. Lunch is provided.

LHASA

Come and explore Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, and Bhakor Street in a full day tour. Potala Palace, originally constructed by King Songtsen Gampo in the seventh century, was reconstructed by the Fifth Dalai Lama in 1645 and has since served as the residence of Dalai Lamas and the political hub of Tibet. Situated in central Lhasa, Jokhang Temple is a significant pilgrimage site for Tibetan pilgrims. Bhakor, the oldest road in Lhasa, surrounds Jokhang Temple and has been traversed by pilgrims for centuries. Here, Buddhist pilgrims walk clockwise along the street, making progress by body-lengths until nightfall. Additionally, Bhakor Road acts as a marketplace for printed scriptures, cloth prayer flags, and religious items. Don't worry about lunch, as it is included in the tour package.

Day 9

LHASA TO CHENGDU

Upon arrival at the airport, you will be greeted by your driver and English speaking guide for your private vehicle transfer.

Catch a direct flight from Lhasa to Chengdu, which typically takes approximately 2 hours.

Upon landing in Chengdu, your driver and guide will be waiting to transfer you to your accommodation.

In Chengdu, you can indulge in the famous Szechuan cuisine at Huang Cheng Lao Ma restaurant. Located in a stunning brick building, the restaurant showcases pictures of Chengdu's history on its façade. Enjoy the fiery hotpot dish, available in various styles such as the traditional chili pepper-hua jiao red pot, hot and mild split version, beer lamb hotpot, or bullfrog hotpot. While offal is a typical ingredient, many modern restaurants now offer a range of meats and seafood options.

Day 10

CHENGDU

Experience a private guided Chengdu tour, starting with a visit to the Panda Research Center. The center imitates natural panda habitat for the best rearing and breeding environment. Watch the pandas and then head to Chengdu's Jinli Street for a local lunch. Afterward, visit a local tea house to experience vibrant and ancient tea culture. Lunch is included.

CHENGDU TO SHANGHAI

Take a direct flight from Chengdu to Shanghai, with an approximate duration of 3 hours.

Upon arrival, meet your private driver and English-speaking guide for a convenient airport transfer.

Experience the vibrant atmosphere of the Bund and Nanjing Road by joining the bustling crowd. Embark on a walking tour with your guide to explore Nanjing Road, a world-renowned shopping street that spans 3.4 miles. Along the way, you will encounter historic shops dating back to the Qing Dynasty. Your guide will provide insights into the history of this cosmopolitan district, which is named after the capital city of a neighboring province.
