The route will take you through the beautiful Khomas Hochland highlands before descending the Great Escarpment into the expansive Namib Desert. Along the way, you will have a picnic lunch at a scenic spot. You will reach your lodge in the late afternoon.

Today, you will meet your guide and begin your journey to Swakopmund. The drive will take you through the Namib Naukluft National Park, known for its stunning desert landscapes. Along the way, you will pass the Gaub and Kuiseb canyons, which are truly impressive sights. Eventually, you will reach Walvis Bay, a port town where you can visit the lagoon to observe a variety of sea-birds, including pelicans and flamingos. From there, you will continue north until you reach Swakopmund, a charming seaside town with a pleasant atmosphere and cooler coastal air. The entire trip is estimated to take around 6 hours.

Today, you will head south from Swakopmund and pass the Kuiseb River Delta, flamingoes, saltpans, and wetlands on your way to Sandwich Harbor. This stunning lagoon is located between the Atlantic shore and the high dunes of the Namib Sand Sea, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The giant sand dunes merge with the ocean, creating awe-inspiring landscapes. For lunch, your guide will find a picnic spot on the beach or a high dune overlooking the ocean and provide snacks with sparkling wine and oysters. On the return journey to Swakopmund, you will encounter the area's typical flora and fauna, such as the black-backed jackal, fog-basking beetle, dancing spider, golden mole, springbok, oryx, brown hyaena, and ostrich.

Please note that reaching the harbor requires off-road driving over sand dunes, and there may be times when the vehicle cannot access the site due to the tides. In such cases, you will have the opportunity to view the lagoon area from various lookout spots and explore on foot.
