This day is all about interacting with the locals and spending minimal time in the vehicle. Start the day with a visit to Muizenberg's Surfers Corner for a cup of Cape Town's coolest coffee. Next, explore the harbor and meet the friendly members of the fishing community in Kalk Bay. Take a stroll through bohemian art shops and maybe even hike through the Milkwood forests. Continue to Simon's Town to see the penguins on a secret beach and, if the weather allows, snorkel or use stand-up paddle-boards for a unique perspective. After visiting Cape Point, venture deeper into the Peninsula to discover deserted beaches, secret coves, rock pools, and hiking trails. Keep an eye out for ostriches, baboons, tortoises, and mountain zebras. On the return journey, explore lookout points, hidden cafes, and watering holes. Sabi Sands Private Game Reserve is renowned for its spectacular wildlife and is one of the best places in the world to see game, including the Big 5. On the Sabi, you can witness massive elephants, grazing black and white Rhinoceros, cautious Cape buffalo, prowling leopards, and roaring lions. Join your ranger, tracker, and other lodge guests for an afternoon game drive, exploring the untamed land with your camera as the sun sets. Return to the lodge in time for a memorable safari dinner under the stars.

At daybreak, prepare and venture into Sabi Sands for further exploration. The most active time for animals is sunrise and sunset. In the morning, herds of elephants wander the Sabi as the dawn illuminates. Witnessing a hundred freely roaming elephants on the open plains is an unforgettable sight. After a few hours, return to the lodge for a satisfying breakfast.

During the afternoon, embark on a 4x4 vehicle for another round of game viewing. As the scorching sun wanes, nocturnal animals begin their nightly routines. Your tracker will guide you on well-marked roads or off the beaten path to seek out predators and prey in the heart of Sabi. You may be lucky enough to witness a hunting lion pride. Relax and keep your camera ready as you explore for a few hours before returning to camp for dinner.

In the morning, you will wake up early to go on a game drive in the African savannah. Sabi Sands is the oldest private game reserve in South Africa and is named after the Sand and Sabie rivers that flow through it. It is home to endangered species like the wild dog, honey badger, ground hornbill, and the oxpecker. While exploring the Sabi reserve, you might come across rare animals before enjoying a delicious breakfast.

After lunch, you can head back into the bush. The reserve is home to both the rare Black (hook-lipped) and White (square-lipped) rhinos, making the afternoon an excellent time to see these magnificent and endangered creatures. If you're lucky, you might witness a group of rhinos grazing as the sun sets. After a few hours, you will return to the lodge to freshen up before a scrumptious dinner.

You can expect a travel time of 15 to 40 minutes to transfer from your lodge in Sabi Sands to Skukuza Airport. Once at Skukuza Airport, you can board a flight to Johannesburg which typically takes around one hour and 5 minutes.
